m) Methodology used for dating:
Dating has been done through dendrochronology. The sample was compared as raw data against the local chronology (Trentino Chronology, see the reference) and some other reference chronologies, between which the best results are with the mvv_bc200_ad1400_i1 from Austria (Pichler et al. 2018). TSAPWin program (Professional, version 4.80ff) was used to measure tree-rings while both TSAPWin and PAST4 (version 4.3.1021) were used for cross-dating operations. Those positions that produced results above a given threshold (TBP > 5) were taken into consideration. For every position t-values and Gleichläufigkeits-percentages were noted. The date has been determined by checking the synchronous positions both statistically and visually.
