m) Methodology used for dating:
Dating was done by multiple comparisons of the time series in question with the regional master sequences. Firstly, two records (MNP364A, MNP364B) are compared with each other and get a mean curve series to identification the false rings and missing rings by Tsapwin Scientific software (version of 4.70b). Then the 5 best match positions as candidate for crossdating will be listed with each master chronology, using software Tsapwin. For every position t-values and Gleichläufigkeits-percentages are noted.
The date is determined by checking the possible synchronous positions in the table with statistical tests and verified by visual growth pattern matching in the software package TSAP (Stokes and Smiley, 1968; Rinn, 2003, pp. 21-24).
