Originally the collected specimen was crossdated with skeleton plotting by C.W. Ferguson in 1971, and archived at the LTRR.  The specimen\u2019s surface has prick points for the decadal ring count and written dates (see photo below). For Miyake et al 2017 study we measured tree-ring widths for the interval -4800 to \u2013 4599 astronomical BC years (Zero Year included) and cut off a wood block near the measuring line. ID of TRW series is BCL01.  The series of measured tree-ring widths (202 yrs) was cross-dated with the Methuselah Walk chronology of Bristlecone Pine (INTRDB file ca535.rwl  Span -6000-1979 submitted by D. A. Graybill). The dating was verified with Person correlation in COFECHA program.
